Great Expectations and it wasn’t Dickens

 After topping the timing sheets in testing at Thruxton just a few weeks earlier there was an air of expectancy in the build up to the weekend.

A lap time of 1:15:534 was an excellent lap and should we have lapped close to this we would be having a different conversation now. The weather was a little indifferent but all weekend well up until the final race anyway we just couldn’t find the little bit of magic.

Race 3 we made some changes and the car started to feel more like the test day.

Here are the results for the weekends sessions;

Qualifying – 1:16:181

Race 1 – 1:17:806

Race 2 – 1:17:620

Race 3 – 1:17:304

So we end the weekend with some reflecting to do, despite starting in 15th and finishing 11th in Race 3 the level of disappointment is now a reflection on our expectation and ability. We are not here to be happy with a pretty good drive and making up four places to finish outside the top 10, we are here to win and push for podiums on a constant basis.

With the fire in our belly we are even more determined to have a decent run at Croft in three weeks.
